Five Things Friday 10/10

1) Rock n Roll New Orleans Participant Shirts
unnamed
As I’ve stated many times over the last few weeks, the Rock n Roll series is really stepping up their game to be more competitive with some other races and this adds to it. The participant tees look great! Both the 10k shirt & the half/full shirt features the iconic fleur de lis that is synonymous with New Orleans. This is a major improvement over the plain white logo shirt I got when I ran this marathon in 2012.

2) Mississippi Blues Quarter Note Marathon

Earlier this week I posted the release of the Mississippi Blues Marathon medal. Yesterday the race released the image for their newly announced Quarter note marathon, this is a 10.5k race that will take place at the same time as the half & full marathon. I don’t think I need to express how much I love this medal! This would look great hanging on the medal rack of any of my musician friends.

3) runDisney 2015-2016 Race Schedule

It would seem that after many many complaints about runDisney adding two events to their schedule this year without a lot of notice the company decided to give plenty of advance notice of next year’s events and when the registrations open for each one. The big surprise following the release of this picture is the absence of the Tower of Terror 10 Miler and the continued presence of the Expedition Everest Challenge. The rumor mill is already on overload speculating what, if anything, will be replacing the ToT 10 miler October race date in the future.

4) Wine & Dine Bib Assignments

We are less than a month away from the runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. Yesterday race waivers were released for participants along with bib numbers and corral assignments. My bib in number 116! Corral A better be ready, several of my Team runDisney friends will be in there also. Races at WDW are always a blast with a set of good friends around you.

5) Orange Mud Double Barrel Hydra Quiver

After a long time searching for a new hydration system to replace the Nathan fuel belt I’ve been using for almost 3 years I found the double barrel hydra quiver by Orange Mud. It carries up to 48 oz of fluid on the run and fits snugly on the upper back across the shoulders. I’ve only taken it on a few runs so far and it has worked out great. After a few more long runs I’ll be posting a full review on the product.
