On the Road Again

The only thing worse than a daunting 22 mile training run is feeling pain in the knee just before mile 11.  This was the case last Sunday.  The conclusion meant much pain and doing the one thing that a runner hates to stare down… rest.  8 days without lacing up brought me to this week.  This holiday week finds me on the taper for St. Jude Marathon, 9 days away.  Here’s the plan for the week.

Monday – Rest

Tuesday – 4.5 miles

Wednesday – 6 miles

Thursday – Turkey Day 8k

Friday – Rest

Saturday – 4 miles

Sunday – 8 miles

Total – 27 miles
